Despite hosting the most expensive UN mission ever undertaken in Africa, Congo is no closer today to stability, and the continent as a whole will remain hobbled until the wounded giant at its heart begins to heal. Congo has the resources to engineer its own recovery. But with global complicity, these are harnessed instead to finance its demise, writes William Wallis
